Background Information


Linda Wilson is the Assistant Provost at The University of Texas at Arlington and a Lecturer in the Department of Economics. She earned her M.S. in Applied Economics from the University of North Texas in 1992. She's received two teaching awards from the College of Business at The University of Texas at Arlington.

She's coauthored five editions of the Study Guide to accompany The Economy Today, an economics principles text, and five editions of the Test Bank for the same text. She's also authored six editions of the Study Guide that accompanies Essentials of Economics, an economics principles text, plus six editions of the Test Bank. In addition, she's coauthored a section of the Essentials of Economics textbook titled "Living Econ" for the last three editions that focuses on applying economic principles to everyday life.

She served as a Field Tester for a National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded project exploring the adaptability of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) discipline teaching innovations in economics (DUE #0411037 - Implications of STEM Discipline Education Research for Instructional Innovation and Assessment in Economic Education) awarded to Scott Simkin (North Carolina A&T State University) and Mark Maier (Glendale Community College) using a classroom assessment technique known as Documented Problem Solving.
