Steep Canyon Rock Glacier

View Original Image at Full Size

Figure 1. The beautiful Steep Canyon rock glacier in the southern Lemhi Range of central Idaho. The Steep Canyon rock glacier flows along the bottom of the valley floor for roughly 1 km. The Steep Canyon feature differs from the majority of Lemhi Range rock glaciers which typical flow from the valley wall across the valley instead of following the valley.
