Figure 4.35: Screen capture from the <a href="http://www.psmsl.org/">PSMSL (Permanent Service for Mean Sea Level) website</a>. The graphical layout of the website provides a visual overview of the numerous locations around the world where sea level records have been collected. Color coding of the location pins indicates the duration of observations available for that site. As can be seen, there are many sites with less than 30 years of data (black pins), but there are also a wide number of sites with data that extend back at least 100 years (white pins). This website provides ease of access to the data from each site and allows users to explore the data directly for each locality.
