Graduating Senior Exit Survey

From the Geological and Environmental Sciences Department, California State University, Chico

Purpose

This instrument is designed to assess overall student satisfaction with the program. It is an opportunity for students to give specific constructive criticism.

Implementation

This instrument is administered annually on paper in classes that are populated primarily by graduating seniors.

Use of the Data

We look for patterns in student responses to see if program changes are necessarily.

Effectiveness

During years when it has been consistently administered with a high response rate, it has been very useful in gauging our strengths and weaknesses. It has lead us to make several minor changes to our curriculum.
