Cultural Change in Geoscience (C-ChanGe)

Transforming Departmental Culture through Faculty Agents of Change

C-ChanGe seeks to advance our collective knowledge base and agency to implement and share impactful practices across the domains of teaching, research, and interpersonal interactions. The project will provide faculty with concrete ways to implement inclusive strategies in their individual practice at many scales, professional development around barriers to inclusion and belonging for students with non-dominant identities, and leadership development to be successful in sharing what they learn with colleagues in their local program, department, and institution. Achieving this goal will provide a next step towards ultimately enacting the vision for inclusive geoscience departments and programs that value a multitude of cultures, identities, and ways of understanding the world around us and promote growth and professional success for geoscientists from all backgrounds.
