The Coalition for Climate Literacy project website has not been significantly updated since 2007. We are preserving the content here as a record of the historic process. But be aware that it may have out of date information.

The work described here has evolved into the CLEAN Network.

TERC is an educational non-profit.

TERC's Center for Earth and Space Science Education, with its staff of 25 educators, scientists, curriculum writers and technology developers, works on educational research, policy reform, education materials development, teacher training and informal learning - all in support of the "revolution in Earth science education". We also have run national conferences to encourage large-scale collaborations, conducted national studies of policy and practice, and promoted visibility for innovations in Earth science education.

Much of our work features the space-age perspective, state-of-the-art Earth visualizations, inquiry-based learning and a focus on understanding Earth as a dynamic integrated system.

Over the past few years, we have focused especially on climate literacy, through curriculum development, web-based resources, research on learning, and interactive museum exhibits.

We welcome partnerships with other allies to make climate literacy a reality in schools and for the general public.
