Data Source
The Vegetation/Ecosystem Modeling and Analysis Project (VEMAP) Transient Dynamics Data Collection
The VEMAP Transient Dynamics data collection is available from EOS-WEBSTER at the University of New Hampshire. Data are provided by the VEMAP Project at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). These data are gridded annual time series climate data for the United States at 0.5 x 0.5 degree spatial resolution for future climate scenarios. Please see the VEMAP Transient Dynamics Data Guide on the EOS-WEBSTER website for a full description of this data. Visit the VEMAP website for complete information about the VEMAP project and datasets.
The model data used in this chapter are from the Canadian Centre for Climate Modelling and Analysis CGCM1 scenario. For an overview of the model scenarios and assumptions used in climate forecasting see the National Assessment Report: Climate Change Impacts on the United States.
