Charles W. Carrigan is a Professor of Geoscience at Olivet Nazarene University, where he has taught since the fall of 2004. He teaches courses in introductory geology, mineralogy, petrology, structural geology, geochemistry, natural resources & the environment, and water resource issues. He has an M.S. in geology from Vanderbilt ('00) and completed his Ph.D. at the University of Michigan in 2005. In addition to his regular teaching responsibilities, he has also taught Geology Field Camp with colleagues at the Wheaton College Science Station in the Black Hills, SD, since 2012. He has taught in a variety of formats, including traditional lectures & lab courses, online courses, field courses, and flipped-classroom models.
In addition to his formal teaching work, he is passionate about geoscience outreach and education through photography and videography, which he shares through his Instagram Page and YouTube channel, @GeoscienceImaging.
