Pre-Course Activities: Introductions and Installations

Pre-Course Goals

Before beginning the coures, we have three primary goals:

  1. Become familiar with WebCT
  2. Learn to take and post screen shots
  3. Install ArcView GIS and ImageJ applications and open files in them

Checklist of Pre-Course Tasks

  • Explore the WebCT structure of the course
  • Post a brief biography to your discussion section
  • Install ArcView GIS and open the ArcView project file, Aspen_Fire.apr
  • Install ImageJ and open the image, aspentrue256.tif
  • Get to know your colleagues by engaging in an online discussion and responding to at least two biographies posted in your discussion section
