Kristina's May 6 map and questions

1. This map shows several layers of cartographic information. Specifically, it shows a world basemap, countries, states (US), and cities.

2. GIS will allow us to bring in our district-wide project dealing with climate change. We can look at the red-tide plankton counts currently and projected (Falmouth and Cape Cod are very likely to have high counts this year).

3. One other dataset containing latitude and longitude coordinates include acid rain, plankton counts, weather, precipitation, etc.

4. One lingering question I have is whether we can upload our own maps and charts (as in by scanning a picture).
