Background Information
I'm a labor economist interested in low wage workers in the United States, workers disadvantaged by low levels of education, by low levels of experience, or by discrimination stemming from gender or ethnicity. My current research analyzes the situation of low wage workers by making various comparisons among metropolitan labor markets. It also explores ways to correct for living-cost differences among metropolitan areas.My teaching is mostly in introductory economics, intermediate macroeconomics, business statistics, and income distribution.
