Background Information

I received my doctoral degree in economics from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. I also hold both an MBA and M.A. in Finance. I was trained in the Ivory Coast, France and England. My areas of study are quantitative economics and business. I have published the book entitled A Debt Composition Hedging Strategy for Nigeria (2012). My research interests include financial risks management, trade, debt, and exchange rate issues in Africa. As a dedicated teacher of introductory economics at LaGuardia Community College/CUNY, I offer students a dynamic approach to the learning of economics through the infusion of collaboration and technology.

Related Pedagogical Projects

I am currently participating in a National Science Foundation grant entitled"Collaborative Research: A National Consortium for Synergistic Undergraduate Mathematics via Multi-Institutional Interdisciplinary Teaching Partnerships (SUMMIT- Project 2016-21".
This project has the potential benefits to facilitate students' learning of economics and business by engaging them in mathematical and statistical reasoning. This approach will also motivate and make numbers, formulas, tables, and graphs less scary to students.
