Figure. 4. The number of sedimentary events per decade is shown as the height of the entire bar. Blue bar portion represents the number of early season events (nival and glacial events). The green bar portion is the number of late season events (rainfall). The number of events, particularly the number of rainfall events increased around the middle of the 1600s.
