Figure 1. Summit Lake is located on the Alaska/British Columbia border in the Coast Mountains. The base map is from Google Maps. The inset photo is taken looking across Summit Creek and into the proximal basin of Summit Lake. The greeny-blue colour of the water is due to the high concentration of clay-sized particles suspended in the water column.
