Figure 4 - The orthophotograph of the shallow shelf section at the Piedra Blanca research site (created using PhotoScan Pro). An orthophoto is a stitched image created from many single images, which has also been corrected for geometric and vertical distortions. The holes or blank areas within the photo represent areas of trees and dense vegetation where the software is unable to match up overlapping images.
