Figure 3: Total flow each year (reported in cubic kilometres, continuous line, each filled dot represents the total flow for that year) in Schoharie Creek. Through the last 70+ years, flow has varied. Examine the variability (range of values) shown. The dry period in the 1960s is highlighted by the red rectangle, as well as a particularly wet time period in the 1970s (blue rectangle). Other than the dry and wet period, the record shows that flow in Schoharie varied between 0.35 km^3 and 1.75 km^3. However, in the last decade, it would seem the flows are increasing. The black lines (no dots) are approximate linear trends for that time period. The period before and just after the dry/wet sequence in the mid century shows that there is little if any trend in the data. The last decade shows a significant positive trend.
