Figure 1. Map of the Plum Creek watershed and study reach. South of Sedalia, East and West Plum Creek join, and Plum Creek flows from this confluence north to the South Platte River, which it joins at the Chatfield Reservoir. The Palmer Divide forms the southern boundary of the watershed.
