Figure 6: Cross-section B-B’, running west to east across the slackwater terrace. SVS-26 and 30 are sediment cores used to check against geophysical data collected in Resistivity Lines 1-4. Note how the slackwater materials thicken eastward, away from the Mississippi River. This indicates the original location of Rush Creek at the time the slackwater materials were deposited. (Johnson, 2009.)
