Catawba River terrace ages

Figure 2. Log-log plot of surface age vs. elevation above modern stream level (modified from Mills, 2000). Mills utilized data from research conducted throughout the southeastern and eastern United States and obtained a strong correlation between surface age and elevation above the modern stream channel (R2 value of 0.877).
