Here, the lower boundary condition is “open”, with the sediment-elevation there decreasing, representing base-level incision. Simulation uses constant rainfall conditions (64 cm/y). Tors tend to develop along runoff flow paths initially, but their correspondence to preexisting channel incision becomes weak as the system evolves.
