Egg Mountain crew members reside in Camp Makela, named after the late Bob Makela. As far as field camp living situations go, Camp Makela is luxurious, complete with cooking, bathroom, and "hangout" trailers. In the 1980's, the crew resided in teepees, which have since been replaced by tents.
