Figure 4 - Example of the voluminous, ice-cored moraine found immediately downvalley of modern glaciers in southwest Alaska. Lichenometric ages suggest that this moraine stabilized in the mid-19th century, during the culmination of the Little Ice Age. Lake Clark National Park, Alaska.
