Internship Description

Battelle Manages and operates the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) which is funded by the National Science Foundation, and is dedicated to understanding how changes in climate, land use, and invasive species impact ecology. We are seeking a temporary technician to perform periodic biological field sampling in the fields of botany, entomology, soil science, as well as laboratory sample preparation based out of our facility in Fairbanks, AK. Daily and weekly work schedules will fluctuate, most work will likely occur in the lab in support of our field teams, but the specific duties can be adapted to the needs and interests of the intern. Field assigments may be conducted at any of our established boreal field sites near Chatanika, Healy, and Delta Junction.
