Working Group Meeting

MAA Carriage House Conference Center, Washington DC
March 15-17, 2013

Education for sustainability is defined by the 2002 World Summit on Sustainable Development as "enabling people to develop the knowledge, values and skills to participate in decisions... that will improve the quality of life now without damaging the planet for the future." With 2013 designated as the year of Mathematics of Planet Earth, it is an ideal time to bring together leaders to integrate sustainability education into mathematics.

This workshop will focus on generating and collecting math problems and learning activities that can be utilized by educators in developmental math through calculus. View the workshop program to learn more.
