This paper provides an introduction to experience-based learning and would be useful for faculty who are interested in learning about this innovative teaching method. The authors present their defining characteristics of experience-based learning, along with its essential criteria, historical roots and recent developments. The paper goes on to discuss various models of experiential learning, including those by David Kolb and others.
