This is the information and sales site for the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) "SciGuides", which are structured lesson plans that use existing websites. Each guide begins with a description of its contents, narrowing down into specific themes. Themes are described and broken down into keywords which point to supporting Internet resources. K-4 guides include Life Cycles and Inherited Traits; Properties of Objects and Materials; Organisms; and Earth and Sky. Guides for grades 5-8 include Earth and Sky; Organisms; Reproduction and Heredity; Properties and Changes of Properties in Matter; A Close-Up Look at the Red Planet; and NASA Exploration: The Moon, Mars, and Beyond. For grades 9-12, topics include Energy Resources; Genetics; Atomic Structure and Chemical Bonding; Earth Structures; and Severe Weather. The site also includes information about how the guides are used, evaluated, and aligned to science standards. Supscriptions are available to individual teachers and to school districts. Free sample guides are also available.
