This page provides links to information about Earth's past climate in terms of the geological time scale. Users can access the Geological Time Scale of the International Commission on Stratigraphy (ICS), Climates by Period, the Plaeomap Project, and Climates Beyond, a climate timeline tool of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). There are also to the Paleographic Atlas Project of the University of Chicago and Snowball Earth, an explanation of the snowball earth hypothesis that appeared in the publication 'Scientific American'.
