This site provides a thorough introduction to the Arctic sky. There is information about the midday moon, the midnight sun, the northern lights, and arctic mirages such as rainbows around the sun, great pillars of light, and visions of multiple moons. The section on snow contains discussions on colored snow, snow crystal shapes, snowballs and the quasi-liquid layer, types of snow, and historical observations. The reference section contains references on both sky phenomena and snow.
