This site contains animations designed by the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research (INSTAAR) at the University of Colorado. INSTAAR uses advance and couple algorithms to describe the earth's evolving landscape and seascape and the sedimentary deposits they create. Animations include the Eridanos delta, showing the Neogene basin fill of the North Sea Basin, and the Volga delta, showing simulated deposition of the delta over the last 10,000 years.
