The National Wildlife Federation (NWF) offers an array of resources and programs useful for both formal and informal K-12 educators. NWF offers educator professional development workshops, a variety of resources, and a Schoolyard Habitats certification program. Free downloadable sample activities include fact and tip sheets on native plants and building schoolyard ponds. There are also downloadable samples of activities and guides on the Arctic, bats, grassland ecosystems, and butterflies.
