This website contains chapter nine of the "Yellowstone Resources and Issues Handbook 2004" entitled "Park Issues." The document focuses on a variety of issues in Yellowstone National Park including bioprospecting and benefits-sharing, bison management, fisheries: lake trout and whirling disease, grizzly and black bear management, northern range, winter use, and wolf restoration. The first section entitled "Bioprospecting and Benefits-Sharing", gives an informative overview of bioprospecting research in Yellowstone National Park. Topics covered include the history of bioprospecting in Yellowstone, current bioprospecting research, and the benefits-sharing agreement, "Cooperative Research and Development Agreements" (CRADA), between Yellowstone National Park and the Diversa Corporation.
