This web page addresses common misconceptions about Eldredge and Gould's Punctuated Equilibrium (PE) hypothesis. For example, PE is frequently claimed to be anti-Darwinian; it isn't. It's an extension of hypotheses put forward by Darwin and Mayr and cites new evidence to support them.
