This site is home of the Mono Lake Microbial Observatory. The primary goal of the Mono Lake Microbial Observatory project is to examine the distributions of Mono Lake microbes and to understand the response of microbial assemblages to chemical and physical gradients. This project provides a unique opportunity to identify novel microorganisms and define interactions among microorganisms. The website includes a project summary of collaborative research, map and description of the study area, list of personnel, related publications, areas of research interest, and other relevant links.
