This website provides a brief history of the development of the well-known taxonomy of educational objectives. This landmark in education was forged by a committee of college professors that created the original taxonomy as defined by the cognitive domain, the affective domain and the psychomotor domain. This web page describes the work done by this committee and gives a summary and a brief hierarchy of each of the domains. The site also contains a section on how the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains relate to adult education.
