Two mathematical simulations of a fire jumping over a fire line are represented here by MPEG videos. The fire stops as it approaches the line, then splits into two fires when the fire line is crossed. The visualizations are under the "Gallery and Links" section of the page, but be advised that the MPEGs won't play in QuickTime--try an alternate media player.
