This Lafayette Geological Society virtual field trip explores Cretaceous carbonate strata exposed in western Texas. A myriad of outcrop photos with brief descriptions are provided as well as a map, road log and stratigraphic correlation chart. Additional topics include carbonate sedimentology, rudists, paleokarst, oyster packstones, hardgrounds, sequence stratigraphy, primary salt welds, collapse features, caliches, and tepee structures.
