Countdown to a field excursion
C. King 1990 Teaching Earth Sciences 15(4), 103-105.
This is a detailed account of all the steps that need to be taken to prepare and execute a geology field excursion for a grammar school in Cheshire, England. The author asserts that since fieldwork is such an integral component of geology and geology education, it should not be so difficult to gain authorization to bring students on field trips.
