This site presents actual movie footage with audio of alpine glacial features such as arêtes, horns, cols, nunatuks, U-shaped valleys, and fjords. The site also follows a heavily crevassed ice sheet to the ocean where calving occurs. Users with slow connections can expect long loading times. This visualization is from the animations section of the Instructor Companion Site for the Wiley Higher Education textbook (ISBN 0-471-23800-7) Physical Geography: Science and Systems of the Human Environment, Second Edition by Alan Strahler.
