The website is part of the Geo-Iceland field study, a geology field study program for high school students taking place in Keflavík, Iceland. This particular site provides a an overview of Southwest Iceland's geology including hotsprings and their inhabiting thermophiles, geysers, plate tectonics, volcanic activity, seismic activity, and use of geothermal energy. The site also contains links to the Geo-Iceland home page, itinerary, map of Iceland, igneous rocks, and Bowens reaction series.
