Mineralogy & geochemistry of Martian meteorites.

TRANSCRIPT: "Hi. My name is Mohit Melwani. I’m from Spain and I’m a Ph.D. student at the Open University in the U.K. and I’m studying Martian meteorites – rocks that have ended up on Earth from Mars. And in particular I am looking for traces of water in these meteorites. And to do that I use instruments such as this electron microscope to look at very, very tiny samples of Martian rock. And I also look at rocks from all over the world such as this mantel rock from Norway from a volcano on Svalbard island and I quite like my job. It’s very exciting and perhaps I’ll discover something very interesting."
