Woburn Workshop 08

Logistics and Transportation

The Woburn Assessment Workshop will officially begin at 5 p.m. on Monday, May 5th with a reception and dinner at Carleton College. Please make your plans so that you will be able to check in and attend this opening session. The workshop will conclude after lunch on Wednesday, May 7th.

Travel by Air

Air travelers should fly into the Minneapolis - St. Paul airport (MSP). We recommend arriving no later than 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Departures should be scheduled after 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Travel to and from the airport takes at least 45 minutes. We will arrange shuttle service to and from the airport for you based on the travel information you email to Linda Goozen at SERC. The shuttle will take you to the Country Inn Hotel, for check-in upon arrival in Northfield.

Alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase during some meal-times.

What to expect

Northfield is a small town about 35 miles south of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. May is considered early spring, so you can expect a range of temperatures anywhere between 40 and 80 degrees, with the possibility of showers. It's about a five-block walk to the meeting space at Carleton College from the hotel and downtown is about 2-3 blocks from the hotel. Please let us know if you have any concerns about accommodations or mobility.

The Country Inn serves a continental breakfast each morning. The hotel also has a heated indoor pool.

E-mail access is available in the workshop space on the Carleton campus.
