Endothermic and Exothermic Reactions
Summary
This lab allows students to collect for different types of reactions. Students will then compile the data, create graphs and answer questions concerning their lab experience.
Learning Goals
Students will differentiate between an exothermic and endothermic reaction using a graph.
Students will identify an independent and dependent variable.
Students will identify an independent and dependent variable.
Context for Use
NaOH (sodium hydroxide) will be used, so please follow all safety precautions. Students work with lab partners to complete the task. It will take approximately 1 hour (60 mins) to complete the entire lab with paper work (only 30 mins in a lab setting to collect data).
