<p class="MsoNormal">Hello! I am a Marine Ecologist and Educator with 18 years of experience in the education and research communities of San Diego.  Through much of my research career, she has specialized in marine mammal bioacoustics and ecology.  More recently, I have studied natural and anthropogenic physical-biological impacts on marine megafauna population dynamics using analytical software such as ArcGIS, R and Python.  In 2018, I founded a research and technical training company called Ocean Science Analytics, which allows me to continue my research pursuits while teaching locally. Prior to starting Ocean Science Analytics, I worked for Southwest Fisheries Science Center (NOAA Fisheries) as a passive and active acoustic technician, and later migrated to the private sector to work at Bio-Waves Inc., as their Chief Operating Officer (COO), with additional responsibilities in data analytics and project management.  During this time I also obtained obtained a GIS Specialist certification and utilize this tool in both research and educational efforts.   I am currently an adjunct faculty member in the Biology Departments at Miramar College, California State University San Marcos, and the University of San Diego. I also serves as the Executive Director of Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) of San Diego, a non-profit supporting young women in their pursuit of STEM careers.
