Informal Earth Science Education Organization

I am an Earth Sciences and mineral resources specialist, educator and science communicator with professional experience in the Natural Resources Sector, and in Higher and Informal Education. I have worked as a practitioner, in Industrial Minerals in the stone, sand and gravel industry; as a mining and environment Policy Analyst and Environment, and Education and Outreach Committee lead with the Ontario Mining Association; in post-secondary education in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, Instructional Development, Course Design and as a Sessional Lecturer; and with Mining Matters, providing Earth science and mineral resources education to teachers, students and the public. 

I am an active member of the national Earth Science Education and Outreach community. I am a past President of the Canadian Geoscience Education Network (CGEN), the educational arm of the Canadian Federation of Earth Sciences (CFES), and Past Outreach Director for CFES. I currently served as Co-Chair of EdGEO, an organization that offers funds and expertise in support of Teacher professional learning workshops.

I serve as the Secretary of the Ontario Chapter of the Canadian Land Reclamation Association (CLRA), an organization focused on reclamation, rehabilitation and remediation of lands and water. 

I have Undergraduate and Graduate Degrees in Earth Sciences, from the University of Guelph.
