Andrew Goodwillie
Geoinformatics
Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory
Andrew Goodwillie gained a doctorate in geophysics from the University of Oxford before crossing an ocean and a continent to work at Scripps Institution of Oceanography where he took part in a number of sea-going research cruises. Now in the Geoinformatics group at Columbia University’s Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, he works at the intersection of geoscience data and technology. Andrew interacts with educators at all levels and earned a masters degree in education from Teachers College to help inform those conversations. With funding from the National Science Foundation, he worked with teachers to develop educational modules based upon the GeoMapApp data tool.
