Shalom Ruben

University of Colorado at Boulder

)Dr. Ruben is interested in control and system theory. His focus is in design, modeling, control, and application of optimization in mechatronic systems.  With respect to computing, he has explored fast embedded numerical implementation of optimization solvers, control algorithms, and computer vision algorithms needed to attain solutions in real-time. Dr. Ruben is especially interested in using robotics, art, and music as a mechanism for technology education. Science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) educational outreach in K-12 education is a passion of Dr. Ruben's.  See the Automation Lab (https://www.colorado.edu/lab/automation/) for more details on projects and courses that Dr. Ruben is and has explored.

To Loop or Not to Loop: Speeding up your code in Matlab part of Teaching Computation with MATLAB:MATLAB Workshop 2025:Activities
In this activity, we will perform a single computational experiment multiple times. Each time, we will use different coding techniques, and we will compare the time that it takes Matlab to solve. The experiment ...
