Ray Senior

University of Technology, Jamaica

Ray Senior is an educator and engineer at the University of Technology, Jamaica, where he serves as Subject Leader for Computing and Communications in the School of Engineering. He teaches and develops modules in Digital Systems Design, Microprocessors and Microcontrollers, Engineering Computing, Control System, and Data Communication Networks.

He has led academic technology initiatives, including the acquisition of the MathWorks Campus-Wide MATLAB License, Intel DE2-115 FPGA boards, and Cisco networking equipment to modernize laboratory instruction. His interests span digital logic, embedded systems, machine learning, and MATLAB-based computation.

He is the creator of AutoMATic Grader, a MATLAB-based assessment and reporting system that enhances student feedback and analytics. His broader work integrates computing, mathematics, and engineering to strengthen STEM education in Jamaica and the Caribbean.
