Adriane Lam

SUNY at Binghamton

I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at Binghamton University in the Department of Geology and Environmental Sciences. I specialize in planktic foraminiferal biostratigraphy and taxonomy through the Cenozoic, along with paleobiogeography of marine plankton and Paleozoic marine invertebrates. I am also a paleoceanographer, using multiple methods to reconstruct surface currents across critical climate shifts (e.g., mid-Piacenzian Warm Period, Miocene Climate Optimum). Lastly, I am co-creator and co-manager of Time Scavengers, an education website with blogs maintained by an international team of 15 students to professors.

To date, I have sailed on IODP Expedition 371: Tasman Frontier Subduction Initiation and Paleogene Climate, and participated shore-based on IODP Expeditions 390/393: South Atlantic Transect.
