<xpl-author-bio _ngcontent-gsv-c188="" _nghost-gsv-c187="" style="box-sizing: border-box; outline: none !important;">Paul Watta was born in Detroit, MI, USA. He received the bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Wayne State University. He is currently an Associate Professor of electrical and computer engineering with the University of Michigan-Dearborn and the co-author of the edited volume AI-Enabled Technologies for Autonomous and Connected Vehicles (Springer, 2022). He teaches courses in computer methods, mobile devices, and computer music. Recently, he has been exploring best practices for the use of generative AI tools in higher education. His research interests include machine learning, image processing, and autonomous vehicles.</xpl-author-bio>
