Dr. Sanghamitra Adhya is a self-motivated and forward-thinking Associate Professor in Geography, Kalyani Mahavidyalaya, West Bengal, India. She has background in Geography at post graduate and doctorate level from India's prestigious Calcutta University with vast experience in Environmental Geography, Cartography, Climate Change and Sustainable Development. She is also University certified Geographical Information System expert. She is recipient of the four National Scholarships (Secondary to Masters level), University Grant Commission Fellowship and prestigious Shiksha Ratna Award (2021) for lifetime achievement in the field of education. Her work leads to dissemination of awareness about sustainable development in India. She promotes free education and service to the society. She has more than twenty years teaching experience in school and colleges in India. She has nineteen published chapters in books and seminar proceedings with ISBN No., thirty-eight papers in national and international journals. Thirteen national and international organizations/educational institutions invited her to speak in their programs.
